Grants/visiting experts

2014 Healthway Visiting Fellow

Black redKnowledge Translation Australia has the great privilege of co-hosting the 2014 Healthway Visiting Fellow, Dr Melanie Barwick, with the University of Western Australia.

Dr Barwick’s visit to Western Australia was facilitated by Knowledge Translation Australia principal, Dr Tamika Heiden. This visit provided great value to researchers, service providers and policy makers working in Mental Health. Training and professional development opportunities were provided to students across all Western Australian Universities through the renown Scientists Knowledge Translation Training program founded by Dr Barwick and run through the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. This was the first time the course had been run outside of North America and we have plans to bring the course to Australia on a regular basis.

More information about Dr Barwick’s visit can be found here.
